Access to healthcare is essential to building a stronger, healthier community. Through our partnership with Shelter of Hope, Global Outreach Hope Network supports the Centre Medico Communautaire Guignace Majuin (CMCGM), a community clinic established to help bring medical care closer to the people of Desarmes, Haiti.
Located in a remote, mountainous region, the clinic represents an important investment in the well being of local families. Our mission is to help provide the resources and support needed to strengthen healthcare in the community and improve access to essential medical services.
Solar Power for a Brighter Future
Reliable electricity is essential for a medical facility to operate safely and effectively. Before the clinic's solar power project, electricity depended on gasoline generators that had to be switched on whenever power was needed. This limited access to consistent lighting, particularly after dark.
In 2018, Global Outreach Hope Network helped raise funds to install solar panels at the clinic, providing a more dependable source of electricity. The project aimed to improve lighting, increase safety after dark, and help establish better conditions for patient care. This investment was an important step toward supporting healthcare in this remote community.
