Institution Classique de Guignace Majuin (ICGM)

Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a brighter future. In Desarmes, Haiti, the Institution Classique de Guignace Majuin (ICGM) provides students with an opportunity to pursue an education despite the financial challenges many families face.

Through Global Outreach Hope Network's support of the Shelter of Hope mission, we help fund student tuition so more children can attend school and work toward their educational goals. For these students, access to education represents more than a classroom. It represents hope, opportunity, and the possibility of a brighter future.

Opening Doors Through Education

For many families in Desarmes, the cost of school creates a significant barrier to education. Parents may struggle to afford tuition, and children sometimes have responsibilities at home while their parents work to provide for the family. Without support, the opportunity to attend school can be difficult to obtain.

Tuition assistance helps ease this burden and gives students the chance to continue learning, develop their abilities, and pursue their dreams. By helping families access education, we invest in the next generation and encourage children to keep moving toward a future filled with greater possibilities.

The Journey to Graduation

Education in Haiti requires dedication and perseverance. Students typically complete 13 years of schooling, and completing secondary education involves passing a national examination known as the Philo exam. Some students must take this challenging exam more than once before passing.

When tuition costs and financial hardship make school attendance difficult, every step toward graduation is an important achievement. Completing a level of education can open doors to further study, vocational training, and new opportunities. We celebrate the determination of students who continue working toward their goals despite the obstacles they face.

Working Together for Students

Supporting education takes collaboration among the school, families, and the wider community. Saint-Albord Dunol helps coordinate the school project and scholarship program, working with parents and the school council to support students and their educational needs.
